Going Green?

If you are one of the many who are starting to go green, there is now no need to sacrifice your clothing. Designers such as Oscar De La Renta and Proenza Schouler are creating couture designs with fibers such as bamboo, corn, and organic cotton. You may ask yourself, whats the difference between regular cotton and oragnic cotton? The difference is that regular cotton uses many chemicals to create one piece of fabric, and the chemicals can become very damaging to the environment.

Designer John Patrick has taken the lead with his new line Oragnic. His inspiration: The Depression. Simple, but classy clothing. His Spring 2009 ready-to-wear line not only makes a bold statement of great fashion, but a statement of that to the environment. John Patrick has already been an inpriation to many deisgners, and others are now looking to make the move into earth-wise decisions.

Jail Bait

This semester I am taking a sociology class, and one of the requirements was to go tour the new downtown jail. Let me tell you, it was super scary. We went on Friday morning, and I hitched a ride with Devon. We turned down the wrong way at first and saw inmates inside the gates working, and it freaked me out because they would just STARE at you. They said only about 1% of Lee county's people are in jail, and it is on the downfall. But the ones that are in there, are really intimidating. I wish the pictures would have came out a little better, but lets just say I was a little nervous!

On a more happy note, I went to Stevie Tomatoes in Naples to go see Kandice's boys' band play. It was super fun. They play Sublime, and Slightly Stoopid cover as well as their own music. Check out Chaefin!

Strawberry Surprise

Yes, its been awhile since I have posted. My week has been nothing but hectic with two exams coming up. But, Tommy being the awesome person he is, made me a surprise. I guess he was cooking it from the beginning of the night, and wouldn't let me see until we were ready for dessert. I wasn't even aloud in the kitchen. When we were done with dinner, I opened the fridge to find chocolate covered fresh strawberries! This goes down in history as one of the sweetest things he has ever done for me.

Yesterday, however, I was so overwhelmed with watching Zach and Miri make a porno (funniest movie!) that I forgot to take my 9/365. [ :( ].

Superbowl Sunday! 365! First day of February! woo!

School exams are coming up. Cydne is hitting it hard wit Bio and Chem! ouch. On the other hand, while she studies, I will be enjoying a cup of Chai tea that Tommy got me for Christmas while watching Ratatouille[ :) ].
